MEET YOUR FARMERS

Meet your farmers, Quinten and Emily! We are the faces behind Back 40 pastures located 10 minutes east of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

I (Emily) grew up on a 5th generation cattle & organic grain farm south of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. My roots are deep in agriculture, and I have always had a passion for growing my food. I am currently finishing up my Bachelors of Social Work degree. I hope to combine my passions of agriculture and mental health while addressing the unique stressors and reducing the stigma of mental illness in the Ag community. Quinten grew up in the electrical trade and works for his family's 3rd generation electrical contracting company, Saunders Electric, located in Prince Albert. (We are lucky to be able to use this location for local pick-ups)

Had your chicken tonight for supper. It was excellent!! Great taste and super well cleaned and ready for the cooking! Thanks again to you both.

  • Kennedy, La Ronge

Just wanted to say thank you again - hands down the best chicken we’ve ever had, already down to half our order. We will with out a doubt be ordering again and we look forward to supporting you in the days to come.

  • Denis, Swift Current

Thank you for the ground pork from Back 40 Pastures. My mom made homemade sausage patties for breakfast. Mmmm.

  • Deb, Big Shell

Last night for supper we had these salt and pepper sausages from Back 40 Pastures. These piggies were pasture-fed. I think they were the best we have ever eaten. Just the right seasoning, and quite lean. They were yummy. Check them out
